Another Forecast Is Realized
When I wrote my blog post of 2-16-11 the Arab Spring was in motion. Gadaffi looked like he was going to be ousted, but the template did not suggest it so I wrote he may or may not be removed from power and, whatever the case, the template appears to be silent on this subject. The relevant history that generates these forecasts was absent. So far he is hanging onto power against all odds. However, as the slide below shows, President Saleh of Yemen, a true political survivor, backed by the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, appeared to be on the way out based on the history that preceded our present day. When two sequences related to changes of leadership in a country converge on a cycle date (as they did converge on the year 2010), then another change in leadership is suggested. This is what I predicted and it is what occurred. Some will say I am predicting the obvious and I reply, "Nothing is obvious about the future." Is it obvious that Gadaffi would still be in power after he was surrounded by a rebel army in Tripoli in February 2011? Is it obvious that President Assad will stay in power or be ousted from power? Neither situation is obvious at the time of this writing (19 Jun 2011), because the future is never obvious unless the history preceding it suggests a specific outcome.
Saleh's ouster once again indicates that history conforms to a Template of Time.
